July 4th Parades
Clarksburg Parade
Gather your car decorations and dust off your Red, White, and Blue attire and join us for a short and sweet Community 4th of July Parade in Clarksburg—16 miles south of West Sacramento on the river. Meet at the Gill’s at 10:30 am departing at 10:45am. After the parade, we return to the Gill’s for a Post-Parade Hotdog BBQ. Dogs, buns, condiments, and chips provided. Please bring your own drink of choice.

Carmichael Parade
We will be meeting in the In-Shape Family Fitness Parking lot (formerly California Family Fitness) at 6314 Fair Oaks Boulevard, Carmichael on Thursday July 4th, at 9:30am. Plan on bringing your decorations, we will decorate our cars and drive 2 miles through the heart of Carmichael. After the parade we will drive our A’s to the home of Angela Becker where we will have ice cream.

CAL EXPO Show and Shine Tour –
I received updated information from the State Fair coordinator, and he said we will be going into the fair at 9:30 am, not 9:45 am as previously announced.
Arrive: Friday July 18, 9:15 am
Where: Old Kohl’s parking lot (1896 Arden Way, Sacramento) behind the Black Bear Dinner
What to bring: folding chairs, water, sunscreen, snacks, and whatever will make your day at the fair more enjoyable
Please remember as many people that can fit in your car will be admitted free to the fair. Once inside, you do not need to stay with your car and are free to wander around and enjoy everything the fair has to offer.
A special event at the fair this year are the Clydesdales! They will be coming into the area where the cars will be parked around 3pm. At that time, you will have the option to leave or move your car to another area on the fairgrounds. I understand the hitching up of these fabulous horses is a show in itself, so plan to stick around if you want to watch and to enjoy the fair into the evening.
As usual, everyone who fits into your Model A gets into the fair for free. We will meet at Cinemark Century Arden 14 theater, located at 1590 Ethan Way, at 9:45 am and caravan into the fairgrounds at 10:00 am, with the day wrapping up around 4:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you and having a good time at the fair! Come join the fun, promote our hobby, wander the exhibits and enjoy the fair food. Please bring your lawn chairs; you may bring your own food, soda and water. We hope to see you there.
